So I've thought of a few features and need input on them. Below I shall list them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dynamic lighting
Imagine not using /area anymore for effect. Imagine if RM had its own lighting system and updated when new light was introduced. While this would cause a proc to run across every turf checking to update the current lighting, it would be neat.
Pros
* Realism
Cons
* Resource hog
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Browser menus
Our current container system involves dropping items onto an open box and closing it. Imagine if you actually had a popup menu (similar to say... Diablo or Oblivion) where you could select what items you wish to add and remove from it, as well as maybe add all and remove all.
Pros
* More organization
Cons
* Menu management motherfuckery
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Icon generator
Imagine if there were an icon generator. It supplies you with a naked man (or woman) base, and has a list of various things such as hairstyles, haircolours, shirts, weapons, and other such things one would place on their icon. And you choose all of the things you wish to add to said icon, and then it saves as a single icon with all of the stuff attached. This could allow for easily obtained icons, especially for new people.
Pros
* Faster iconing
* Customization for newcomers
Cons
* The sheer amount of compatibility between bases and overlays.
* Might get stale.
* PINK HAIR.
